Kula Yoga and Wellness - Thunder Bay

Located in the heart of Thunder Bay’s burgeoning Bay/Algoma neighbourhood, Kula Yoga & Wellness Centre is a beautifully designed, state-of-the-art Hot & Regular Temperature studio space. Created by renowned Transformational Life Coach and Yoga Teacher, Teri Gyemi, Kula Yoga & Wellness was born out of her dream to provide a sanctuary of community in which all who gather may experience personal transformation, healing, and the ability to truly thrive! The name Kula is derived from the ancient Sanskrit [koo-la] meaning, ‘Community of The Heart’. Kula welcomes you to practice in our safe, supportive, and encouraging atmosphere. By having the highest calibre of teachers and staff, we ensure that every person who walks through our doors is assisted in stepping into life’s bigger picture of unity, well-being, and joy! In conjunction with Yoga, Pilates and movement classes, Kula is committed to offering a regular line up of workshops and community events including: Meditation; Intuitive Healing; Karma Classes, Transformative Personal Growth Coaching; Nutrition Counseling; Ancient Aruvedic Teachings; Spiritual, Emotional and Relationship Counseling; Goal Realization; Environmental Sustainability Teachings; Book Study Groups; Movie Nights; Community Satsang (music, singing); Healing Art Classes; Trance Dances, and more! Staying true to the principle of quality over quantity, we schedule a full 30 minutes between every class. This is to facilitate the development of meaningful relationships between our teachers and students, to allow for an easy flow of transition between classes, and to encourage all to fully embrace the timelessness of practice.
