Sainte-Marie among the Hurons was the 17th century headquarters for the French Jesuit mission to the Huron. Sainte-Marie is a nationally significant historic site with twenty-five reconstructed buildings that include barracks, a church, workshops, residences and Aboriginal shelters that illustrate life in a17th community in Upper Canada. Friendly and knowledgeable costumed guides bring the compelling story alive. Audio-tour wands and visitor site maps are available in 12 languages for international visitors to hear the stories in their own language.
