Gurdwara Gursikh Sangat also known as Shaheedgarh Gurdwara sahib is the oldest Gurdwara sahib in Hamilton region and second oldest GuruGhar in Ontario.
Gurdwara Sahib is located on a hill in scenic Dundas, just outside of Hamilton, Ontario. This Sikh Temple in Hamilton is accessible by highway 403; uniqueness of it includes the hands on construction sewa done by the sangat when building the second storey structure. With sangat's request and contribution, we now have a fully functioning elevator; the building and darbar is now wheelchair accessible (watch video in videos). Construction and renovations are two ongoing processes for which our volunteers are always excited to come forward and help both physically and financially with great zeal and enthusiam. The final building will be one of beauty, peace and majesty.
Gurdwara Sahib was dedicated to the martyrs of Sikh religion in 2002 and is also known as Gurdwara Shaheedgarh Sahib. Yearly Nagar Kirtan (Sikh Parade) is conducted to commemorate the memory of Sikh Martyrs and 1984 Ghallughaara. Gurdwara sahib Hamilton has a very serene location surrounded by greenery and Royal Botanical Garden close by.
