At WorkBC we have a resource centre with access to job postings, computers, fax, and telephones for job search purposes. We also offer workshops, and individuals may be eligible for retraining, certifications, wage subsidies, and referrals for self-employment. Employers have to be in business for at least one year and commit to providing year round full time employment. Employers are eligible to receive up to a 60% wage subsidy for a maximum of 6 months. For an employee to be eligible they must be Currently on EI or have been in the last 3 years or a maternity/ paternity EI claim in the past 5 years, currently unemployed or working less than 20 hours per week, and be case managed by WorkBC Employment Service Centre.
