Vancouver Positive Body Image Photography

Photography has been an integral part of my life for the past 40 years as a hobby and now a developing business. Over the past couple of years experimenting with different forms of photography I became interested in the concept of PhotoTherpy as I realized the medium was helpful in bringing people beyond negative issues they had with their bodies.A Positive Body Image Photo-Session is a wonderful gift of self-love or a lovely surprise for your significant other. Health Canada defines body image as "the picture an individual has of his or her body, what it looks like in the mirror, and what he or she thinks it looks like to others." Developing a positive body image and a healthy mental attitude is crucial to our happiness and wellness. The goal of Positive Body Image Photography is to help people connect with the positive and beautiful aspects of their human form; to allow people to see themselves as other people do. In this fashion Body Image Photography helps to overcome some of the negative feelings we typically hold-on to when we think about ourselves as judgment from what society tends exemplify as being beautiful, handsome, thin or fit. If you are not happy with your body, you cannot be happy in your mind. It is through photography that we have found a way to help people to accept themselves for who you are. We help you to see the true beauty you posses and to see it in a positive, healthy and beautiful way. Most of us cannot see the beauty that we each posses. It is through an artistic photo-shoot that we can help you to unleash and remove the blinkers and the blindfold that has stopped you in the past from seeing the beautiful you. We walk you through step by step before, during and after the photo shoot why you actually do look good and point out all your positive traits. Imagine for a moment you are in the studio doing your first photo shoot. The lights are flashing, the camera is clicking, and the air is electrifying with energy passion and enthusiasm. You are getting positive feedback as to why each pose makes you look fantastic. Then you see the stunning results from the photo shoot as proof that you do actually look awesome. Far better than you ever realised. That is just a small taste of what to expect during our photo session. If you are unsure about doing it alone then invite some of your friends to both join in and do a shoot on the same day with you or to come along as moral support.
