Sugar Paste is applied at room temperature, will never increase blood supply and cannot burn the skin. There is no HEAT used in the process. It is easy to clean up with warm water. Leaving soft, smooth skin with no sticky residue. Live skin cells are wet, and because sugar is water soluble, it will not adhere to live skin cells. The paste pulls the hair while maintaining healthy skin. The sugar paste extracts the hair (1/8" in length is ideal) and exfoliates the dead skin cells, helping to free ingrown hairs. It wraps around the hair shaft, seeping below the mouth of the follicle and lubricates the hair to make the extraction more complete. This process keeps the hair intact, breaking less hairs! Sugar paste is hypoallergenic and helps control cross contamination. Since Alexandria's paste has such a high concentration of sugar, bacteria cannot breed in the jar.
