Slocan Valley Co-operative

We are located in Slocan Park, nestled in the Slocan Valley, which is in the West Kootenay Region of British Columbia. The Slocan Valley Co-op has been in business since 1957, and has evolved from its humble beginnings to its development as a member of Federated Co-operatives in the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS). The Slocan Valley Co-op strives to meet some of the needs of our members and prides ourselves on being builders of the community. Currently the Slocan Valley Co-op membership exceeds 2,600 individual members throughout our trading area. Mission Statement: “To enhance the economic well-being of our member owners by providing goods and services within a financially viable, socially and environmentally responsible, democratic structure.” Vision Statement: “Striving to operate a profitable retail business and to provide outstanding customer service.” Values: The Slocan Valley Co-op exists first and foremost to provide service to its members. Principles: The Slocan Valley Co-op is guided by the seven internationally recognized principles.
