Scrub the glass and frames (if needed) with soap and water. 4.) Squeegee everything off the glass and wipe the last bit of water off the edges with a cloth. 5.) The question is how long have they been getting hit? Bringing glass back to new from mineral deposits depends on the severity of the damage. I have several methods to try depending on the thickness and age of the buildup. Most glass that is regularly cleaned I can restore to near new condition. I use a fine dry brush to dust off every screen I remove before cleaning a window. Also if screens need it they can be gathered together then scrubbed and rinsed with a hose. I reach 3rd and 4th floor windows standing on the ground with a water fed pole. This system uses high tech filtration for ultra pure water. When working with the water fed pole I scrub all frames and sills before cleaning the window. For high windows that are very dirty I may pre-wash them with a soapy scrub before switching to the pure water pole.
