Firstly lets get down to the basics about me: I'm located in High River, AB and do both natural and studio lit photography. Flexibility is my middle name... I can come to you, you can come to me or we can meet up somewhere in the middle! If your looking for an artist to capture your moments then I'm your gal! There is a photography diploma framed and nailed to my wall and I've taken many more courses, tread countless books, etc to better my skills but regardless of that I am an artist of photographs. Just as every artist paints an image on canvas, every photo I take is carefully composed and planned in my head and through my eyes. I try to capture emotion and all elements that surround me - whether it be the emotion of a human or of something that resides on our planet -natural or artificial- I will capture it. These are not just snapshots I take, they are carefully thought through images of art. I love that a photo can tell a story or let you perpetuate a special moment trapped in time, in fact one of my favorite things to do is go through some of my own photos from the distant past or days prior and re-live memories and emotions; that feeling I get is what I want to give to others. Human emotion and features are some of the most beautiful things in existance. I enjoy watching others communicate and bond with one another. I love watching little babies sleep; their soft, tiny, wrinkled features is jsut something that cant be left uncaptured! I love watching a little person just be the center of attention and feel like the most important person in the world. I also love to just sit and watch the clouds change shape or cast strange shadows on the beautiful landscape below. These are just a few of many things that motivates my desire to hold a camera. I am all about fun and natural emotions so I encourage my clients to let loose, relax, and have fun at their session - treat it like a fun family outing. Capturing families and individuals just being themselves and showing emotion is what my phots are all about - loving, laughing, playing, and showint real, raw emotions (Yes, nose picking and temper tantrums are included and you'd be suprised how amazing a photo like that can turn out)! The fact that I have four (five if you include my hubby) amazing and extremely busy boys helps in my interactions with people. I understand busy, spontaneous, chaos and most importantly patience!
