My creative technique is unusual because it involves suctions machines, syringes, needles and various solutions for special effects.In 2010 I received an Ontario Arts Council Grant for research and development. Over a 2 year period I filmed my YUPO creative process and integrated it with my improvisational piano work.This was an invaluable experience.The layered fusion of piano and video footage of paint in motion created an opportunity for me to understand.the interdependent relationship between music, fluid movement of colour and emotional response.THis laid the foundation for creating designs on water.The birth of Wearable one-of-a-kind.Our love of ancient history, creativity, opened the door for research and experimentation with Ancient Japanese Suminagashi and Ebru water techniques. We decided to combine modern YUPO Art with these Ancient techniques in working with fabrics & other Materials.Our colour palette for our work comes from Canadian nature.
