Collingwood YFC + The Door Youth Centre Collingwood

Currently we offer the following programs: > Drop-in: Friday and Saturday nights, 7-10pm. We offer a wide range of activities and a snack bar for youth. Youth can connect with their friends, or talk to staff in an environment that is safe and free. We see on average 25-30 youth each drop-in night. Pool tournaments the first Saturday of every month, Karaoke the third Friday of every month. > Soul Food: Wednesday evenings, 3:30-6:30pm. Youth come after school, and we have a free dinner at 5pm, followed by discussion on character values, life, and faith. > Project Serve: Throughout the year. A 3-level program offering meaningful community service opportunities for youth. PS is a progressive program for youth, beginning with a weekend of serving in inner-city Toronto, then to a weekend at a youth camp for inner-city youth, preparing it for the summer season, and finally an international trip. This program develops team skills, work ethic, and includes training and fund raising opportunities for youth. > Mentoring: Ongoing. We meet one-on-one with youth, working on life and vocational/school goals, and also referring youth to professional services if needed.
