Coast Custom Woodworks

Welcome to Coast Custom Woodworks shop. My name is Terry, and I am the owner of CCW. I started this shop so I could pursue my passion of woodworking full time. I was born and raised in a small town called Qualicum Beach on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. My family has owned, and operated a successful construction company here on the island for over 40 years. I grew up around construction, and worked in the trade for many years. I went on to own my own construction company and build many homes. Working with wood, crafting, designing, is in my blood, and I now, finally have a beautiful woodworking shop to pursue my passion in. I live on the west coast of British Columbia, surrounded by some of the biggest, and oldest trees in the world. My location provides me great access to amazing material to work with. Old growth Douglas Fir, Western Red Cedar, Yellow Cedar, Yew, Maple, are just some of the great resources here. Every piece that comes out of my shop is handcrafted, and built to last. I prefer to use old school methods, opting for dowels, pegs, and joinery, over screws, nails, and bolts. I take pride in knowing that every piece I build is crafted with care and passion. I love the west coast, and I love woodworking. The two combined result in a distinctly coastal style, that is universally recognized, and highly sought after. I will close this out by saying this........ You can purchase something of a lesser quality many times over in a lifetime, or you can purchase something of high quality once, and have it last for generations. Thank you for reading this far and checking out my shop. I hope you enjoy my work, as much as I enjoy creating it. Please feel free to ask questions, give input, feedback, or present an idea. I look forward to hearing from you.
