Being an active member in the Canadian Dental Association, Ontario Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, International Association of Orthodontics, American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, American Association for Functional Orthodontics, Toronto Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry , and the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine has been very beneficial in keeping Dr. Chai and his team up to date on the latest developments in dentistry. Dr. Chai’s active involvement in the community over the years garnered him an “Entrepreneur of the year award” in 2006. His most recent involvement in collecting toys and clothes for the York Region Newspaper group Santa Fund in December 2008 was a great success and garnered mentioning in the local paper. This event was capped off with a visit from Santa Clause at the office much to the delight of the local children. Dr. Chai was married to his wife Alice in 2004 and they have a new-born son Evan who was born Jan 15, 2009. When Dr. Chai is not at the office working, travelling for courses, and completing the endless mounds of paperwork that come with running an office, he is at home relaxing with his family.
