Medicine Hat’s first exclusive landmark event venue. Our intention is to create an elegant space that is reminiscent of the sophistication of the original building while providing the elements required for modern events. We have restored one of the city's oldest buildings in order to facilitate the most elegant of social occasions. THE BALLROOM: With hardwood flooring and 11’ high ceilings which incorporate the original tin ceiling tiles, the third-floor venue reflects the character of the original building with fully modern amenities. The front wall is all windows with the original prism glass transom at the top. It is a very spacious and beautiful area. THE MURANO ROOM: The main floor and mezzanine will be rented as one space with the grand staircase connecting the two floors. The main floor is hardwood throughout. The original staircase leads to the second floor through an opening in the central portion of the room retaining the original grandeur of the building. The landing of the second floor is hardwood as well, and the mezzanine area will have carpet. The railing around the mezzanine will be clear glass with minimal steel posts and a wooden top rail to maintain the open feeling of the space. There are large windows on the front of both the main and mezzanine floors. THE CELLAR: The basement space is suitable for more intimate gatherings. It has a much cozier atmosphere. The original brick columns will remain exposed giving the space a rustic warmth. STUDIOS: There are two greenrooms that are available as an add-on on Friday and Saturday for use with any other spaces (or to rent individually during the week). These rooms would be perfect for use as a private space for a bridal party, or for a small private function. Each is equipped with a wet bar, closet, full-length mirror, an area suitable for getting ready (hair and makeup etc.), and soft seating. Studio 1 is comfortable for 12-15 and has a private powder room. Studio 2 will accommodate up to 20 people and has a private bathroom which includes a shower.
