ABOUT US The Alliston Soccer Academy serves the Simcoe County and surrounding areas and is designed to enhance children’s ability and confidence in their soccer skills, which will enable them to enjoy and look forward to playing the sport. An Alliston Soccer Academy, 60 minute session, consists of a fun warm up, fun games and skills (players will always have a ball at their feet), finishing with a 10 minute scrimmage to get players used to the rules and concept of the game of soccer. Each session highlights different skills that are reinforced through the implementation of the “Key Factors of Soccer”, delivered by a paid, NCCP Certified Coach. ALLISTON SOCCER ACADEMY IS COMMITTED TO: • Teaching soccer skills in fun ways using the “Key Factors of Soccer”. • Building young self-confident risk-takers by celebrating accomplishments. • Providing an opportunity for children to learn successful social skills. • Developing coordination & gross motor skills. • Creating an understanding about the game of soccer and its history. OUR STAFF Academy Director: Academy Founder and Director, Marco Moras is a Sports Administration Graduate from Durham College, and a NCCP Level 3 Senior Coach, working towards his National B License, who brings 20 plus years of coaching experience to the Academy. The former Alliston Soccer Club President and Club Head Coach, has worked and coached at some of Ontario’s largest and most competitive clubs such as, Woodbridge, Vaughan and Bolton. The former Ontario Cup Provincial Gold Medal Winner with Woodbridge S.C. couples his vast coaching experience with 4 years as an Educational Assistant and Athletic Coordinator at St. Mary Catholic High School, where he was the Senior Girls Soccer Head Coach, winners of a LOSSA Gold Medal and OFSSA Bronze Medal. His passion and appreciation for coaching and teaching has inspired his model of development that is based on a fun, yet structured learning environment that challenges players to be better with every touch. Staff Coaches: The Alliston Soccer Academy selects only the best capable coaches to deliver top quality training to all our Academy players. Our coaches are hired after a strict selection process, and are compensated to deliver a program implemented by the Academy Director. You will find that the Alliston Soccer Academy coaches are NCCP Certified, have a great passion for the sport of soccer and enjoy teaching children. Our coaches are expected to enforce the “Key Factors of Soccer” for soccer skills, as per NCCP and OSA guidelines, and to use their many years of experiences to create a fun, yet structured learning environment. Staff coaches play an important role in the evaluation of Academy players, thus are evaluated themselves on an ongoing basis to ensure they learn and grow as coaches and continue to deliver the highest level of training possible. PROGRAMS U5/U6 Development Program: Introducing an exciting 10 week Spring and Fall program designed for the young developing house league player, aged 5 and 6, to learn soccer skills, to develop confidence in the sport and have fun in the best training environment possible. This will help young players enjoy playing more and stay in the sport. U7/U8 Development Program: The Alliston Soccer Academy U7 / U8 program will present youth players the opportunity to accelerate their technical skills and to reveal their individual potential in order to maximize soccer opportunities. The U7 / U8 Program will focus on aspects of player development such as, technical skill, reading the game tactically and speed of play. This is a 10 session, supplemental program for players who play with a Club team in the summer. Available for Spring and Fall Sessions. Winter 3 v 3 Indoor League: An Alliston Soccer Academy “League Program” designed to implement the skill set acquired in the development programs. Players will play in a 3 v 3 setting, promoting more touches on the ball, more success 1v1, more playing time, and most importantly more fun!! The league will mirror the UEFA Champions League where players will get to play for some of the top European Club teams in the world. Summer Soccer Camp: This, July, half day, week long, morning or afternoon session, Soccer Camp, combines skill development with mini games, and is designed to supplement any summer club team program. Players will work to develop skills and apply them to game situations at the same time. Players will acquire a better understanding of game tactics, speed of play, and positioning. SCHEDUELE Fall Development Program: October to December, 6:00pm–7:00pm, Thursday, fee $125.00 (Each player receives: Academy Jersey, Shorts, Socks, Ball, Shoes*, Evaluation) Winter 3 v 3 League: January to March, 6:00pm – 7:00pm, Thursdays, fee $125.00 (Each player receives: Academy Jersey, Shorts, Socks, Ball, Bag* and Awards) Spring Development Program: March to May, 6:00pm – 7:00pm Thursday, fee $125.00 (Each player receives: Academy Jersey, Shorts, Socks, Ball, Jacket* and Evaluation) Summer Soccer Camp: July, Monday– Friday, 9am-12pm or 12pm – 3pm, fee $150.00 (Each player receives: Camp T-Shirt, Ball, and Evaluation) (*Subject to availability)
