Movement Fernie

'moveMEnt Fernie' is a business operated by Anna Weston. Anna is Australian and currently resides in Fernie BC. She is a certified Speech Pathologist, and has also completed Transpersonal and Emotional Release Counselling (TERC) training. All education was completed in Australia. Anna is not currently working as a therapist or a counsellor, but rather is enjoying the Fernie lifestyle and sharing a small range of classes. Classes include active meditation classes and dream work sessions. Anna has almost a decade of experience practising and learning about Active Meditation classes, and training for these was a component of the TERC education. The classes are dynamic, energising and grounding. Therefore Anna is excited to share the classes with the Fernie community. Anna also volunteers as a Speech Pathologist in developing countries for Operation Smile International (cleft lip and palate repair team). She has extensive travel experience, and has had the privilege of visiting many remote areas around the globe. Experience has included exposure to numerous cultures, traditions (including dance and music) and ways of life. This background creates a richer base for the classes she is currently sharing. Classes are run in the Vitality Body & Mind building, and also the Knox United Church (lower floor), Fernie. ACTIVE MEDITATIONS ‘Active Meditations’ are great for the mind, body and emotions. Active is just that, these meditations involve movement, music/sound, and also a quiet still period. These active meditation classes also include an ‘integration’ activity for the final 10 minutes. The goal is to get your body moving, make you feel more grounded, and then leave the studio more in tune with yourself and ready for the day ahead.
