Miller Bay TB Hospital, Prince Rupert, BC, 1946-1970

Although there must be hundreds of people who were patients at Miller Bay, or who worked there in jobs ranging from laundry workers to medical directors, and although Miller Bay was the only TB hospital in northern BC specifically for First Nations people, very little information is readily available about it. My aim is to hear and preserve as many of the memories as possible, because I believe it is an important part of the history of this area, of the First Nations whose territory it was in, and of health care in BC and in Canada. I will keep all responses confidential, and not use real names without anyone's permission, if this eventually becomes a published work.
