Stanton Territorial Hospital Foundation

Non-Profit Organization in Yellowknife, NT · See Non-Profit Organization throughout Northwest Territories

The Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for patient care, equipment and major capital needs at the Stanton Territorial Hospital. The Foundation consults with the Hospital to determine its greatest need, and then sets out to raise money for initiatives that have been given priority. Since 1997, the generosity of the people of the NWT and Nunavut has allowed the Foundation to play a major role in donating healthcare equipment/services and programs to the Stanton Territorial Hospital. Some pieces of equipment donated: 11 IP pumps, a birthing bed for obstetrics, a palliative care mattress and blanket warming cupboard for the extended care unit, a CT scanning machine, two ultrasound units, a film-based and a digital mammography machine, a bone densitometer and five diagnostic scopes. With the continued generous support of residents and businesses, we will be able to ensure the Hospital can provide the highest level of care, with the best equipment available, to all residents in the Northwest Territories and the Kitikmeot region of Nunavut.
