This two-day show and sale features the work of over 50 potters from Ontario. You'll find unique pieces in a wide range of styles, materials and techniques – from vases, teapots, mugs and dishes to wall tiles, masks, indoor and outdoor planters, and sculptures. The Potters Market is the only outdoor event of its kind in Ontario — it's modelled on the famous potters markets of Europe, such as the hugely popular “Diessener Töpfemarkt” in Upper Bavaria. Visitors are invited to shop and mingle amidst the picturesque limestone ruins of the historic Goldie Mill, located alongside the Speed River in downtown Guelph. Enjoy refreshments by Magnolia and music by local children, including the students of the Suzuki String School of Guelph. The event is a fundraiser for the Guelph Youth Music Centre. Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. Admission is free.
