The library is open and accessible to all offering free wi-fi, technology, programs, books and other material as well as an electronic library.
The new building was opened in June, 1963 and the keynote speaker was Premier Robert L. Stanfield. In 1969, the Yarmouth Library became the first library of the newly organized Western Counties Regional Library and the basement became the working area of the Western Counties Regional Library and administrative offices. In 1991, an addition was built to accommodate the expanding needs of the Western Counties Regional Library.
