The Gilbert Plains Fire Department is a paid call fire service with a team of 24 firefighters. Majority of our members are trained with Level I Firefighting, along with numerous other courses. We cover the Town and R.M. of Gilbert Plains, and are available to assist nearby towns such as Grandview, Ethelbert and Dauphin if needed. The EMS building currently consists of a Freightliner Pump Truck, a second Pumper, 2 Rescue Units, Quickie (responds to grass fires), a rescue toboggan, and Ambulance which includes full time staff.
