Yogi Mamas

We offer a variety of yoga classes for mamas and kids. It is so important to connect with other moms – to share in the journey of motherhood. It is easy to feel alone when you are at home, but there is a whole community of mothers experiencing the same kinds of joys and challenges that you are. Our "Mom & Baby" classes are designed especially for mamas, by mamas. Classes will provide an opportunity for you to regain strength and flexibility, restore balance and peace of mind, and make friends with other moms. Beginning in April, Yogi Mamas will be introducing two programs for mamas and mamas-to-be at Balance Within Yoga & Wellness: 1) Mom & Baby Gentle Yoga, ideal for mamas who are looking for help with unwinding, calming their nerves (and emotions) and restoring balance. 2) Mom & Baby Yoga Bootcamp, ideal for mamas who are looking to regain strength, balance and power. Mamas are welcome to bring their babies to class - in fact we encourage it. Your baby will remain close to you on a blanket throughout the class. Sometimes babies sleep all class, other times they may want to breastfeed or bottle feed, and other times they are happy to see and hear the other babies around them. Fussing and crying is totally normal and babies are welcomed just as they are. Previous yoga experience is not necessary to fully benefit from the classes, and women who have practiced yoga before will find these classes are a great way to transition back to their pre-pregnancy practice.
