Yoga With Josana

I received my Yoga teacher training from Karuna and Paul Erickson of Heart Yoga in Nelson, B.C. and have since taken trainings and workshops with many accredited Yoga teachers. My first ever Yoga retreat was many years ago with Baba Hari Das, the silent monk who does not speak but communicates on a chalk board. I received my spiritual name, Jaisri, Goddess of Victory and my personal mantra from him. I have studied the Self-Realization teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda for three years and have attended five 10 day Vipassana meditation retreats. The turning point and most significant point in my spiritual journey was the period I studied with the Whirling Dervishes of the Mevlevi order, working with Reshad Field and his teachings of the Sufis and conscious breath. This was a transformative experience setting me on a path - the inner, inward journey of remembrance, gratitude and love. I am grateful to all of my teachers and all of the people who come together in Yoga where we are all students and teachers for each other.
