Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation Inc.

Non-Profit Organization in Weyburn, SK · See Non-Profit Organization throughout Saskatchewan

Our hospital in Weyburn has provided over 60 years of quality health care. However, as health care technologies advance and our communities grow, so does the need for a new hospital. Since 2008, the Weyburn & District Hospital Foundation has been working with various stakeholders including the Sun Country Health Region, Saskatchewan Government, and local governments in pursuit of our vision for a new hospital. A new hospital requires government support and community readiness. Based on recent health facility projects in Saskatchewan, we estimate that building and equipping a new hospital in Weyburn will require approximately $80 to $100 million. Once our hospital is approved, the Saskatchewan government will contribute 80% of the building costs. The remaining funds must be raised by the Hospital Foundation from within the community, and to this point, we have nearly $15 million in identified funds.
