Upcyled Monkey is a company specializing in one size cloth diapers with bamboo fleece inserts. Materials- Our diapers are constructed with a waterproof PUL outer and soft polyester minkee inner that keeps moisture off baby's bum. Each diaper has a strip of PUL on the top front inner edge to prevent moisture wicking onto baby's clothing. Diapers fit from 7lbs right up to 35+ lbs and have an extra set of front snaps for tinnier wasted babies. Inserters are made from a large piece of bamboo fleece that tri-folds and slides into each diaper, the tri-fold allows for easy thorough washing and quick drying. The bamboo fleece is 400gsm which is a heavier and more absorbent fleece (doublers are available for purchase for heavy wetter's) Bamboo is naturally antibacterial which helps reduce the need to strip and stink issues that can sometimes occur when cloth diapering. All Diapers fasten with high quality KAM snaps so there is never any need to worry about fastening velcro to laundry tabs before laundering. Wash and Care instructions- We recommend washing the covers twice in hot water before use to remove anything that could be on the fabric and repel pee. Inserts should be washed and dried 3-4 times before use to increase absorbency. Wash in hot water with detergent once, another hot wash with a squirt of Dawn blue dishwashing liquid (about 1TBSP) and one to two consecutive washes to remove any remaining soap. Covers should be hung dry as over time using heat from the dryer will delaminate the waterproofing. Both covers and inserts should NEVER be bleached. Bleach will break down the PUL cover and damage the naturally occurring antibacterial properties in the bamboo. To remove stains it is recommended to place cover out in direct sunshine for a few hours. For more stripping instructions, trouble shooting, or help with any other issues please contact us.
