Welcome to Aboriginal Programs & Services The primary goal of Aboriginal Programs & Services is to provide culturally appropriate services and support to First Nations, Metis and Inuit students. Aboriginal Programs & Services is housed within the Aboriginal Centre, on the second floor of the University Centre building and is part of student services. The Aboriginal Centre provides a sense of belonging and community to Aboriginal students. This home away from home is committed to enriching the quality of the student experience for Aboriginal students by promoting access, providing capacity building opportunities and celebrating success. The Aboriginal Centre provides various support services: Academic Advising Aboriginal Access Studies Peer Mentor Program Liaison and outreach with Aboriginal sponsors, communities and schools Liaison with UBC family and staff Network with other Aboriginal staff at other universities Administrative support Cultural Activities Computer Facilities
