Tierra Madre Doula

Professional Services in Hudson's Hope, BC · See Professional Services throughout British Columbia

What is a doula? A doula is a birth and postpartum support person who provides emotional and physical support to a birthing woman and her partner. A doula does not provide clinical support or speak on a client's behalf, but can help to facilitate communication between a birthing woman and her partner, or the health care provider. Doulas help to foster a more relaxed environment by providing continuous comfort, reassurance, respect, and encouragement during labor and birth. A doula understands the physiology and emotional needs of a woman in labor, and recognizes that birth is a key experience which the mother will remember all her life. Services: I am based out of Hudson's Hope, but will be servicing clients in Chetwynd, Fort St. John, and Dawson Creek as well. Please contact me by phone or e-mail for more information and pricing!
