Thrive Dance Studio

To give you some history, Thrive Dance Studio was originally named North Otter Society of Performing Arts. Only recently we have changed our name to something that better represents us, “Thrive.” Back in 1994, North Otter Society of Performing Arts was opened as an after-school program at North Otter Elementary by Cinda Herndl. Over the years the studio has grown and is well known for it's passionate and energetic teachers and enthusiastic students. At Thrive Dance Studio it is our goal to offer programs that encourage the attainment of technical training while inspiring a love and passion for performing. It is our belief that students should have a vast understanding, more than just basic dance training and we encourage this by helping them developed a kinaesthetic and anatomical understanding of their bodies. Together these goals ensure that your child will not only enjoy the art of dance but also have the opportunity to attain invaluable skills and knowledge that expand beyond the studio walls. In accordance with our performance goal, we pride ourselves in saying that we make performance opportunities available throughout the season. School assemblies, community events, dance demonstrations and local recitals are just a few ways in which we are able to share our love of dance with the surrounding communities. When taking part in our studio, you can rest assured that you will be joining a school that is known for its quality of teaching, its dedication to students, and its commitment to dance as a performing art. We offer classes for boys and girls ages 3-18 in Ballet, Lyrical, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre (Stage),Partnering, Acro, Afro Contemporary and Choreography classes. Our season runs from September until June.
