~The Dusty Magpie~

Welcome to The Dusty Magpie! My name is Myrla Cavanagh and I am very excited to share with you my strong passion for collecting anything and everything Vintage as well as creating new pieces for your home or garden out of salvaged finds. Like the magpie, I like to amass a large collection of "shiny" things that I just can't seem to leave behind! For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the warmth and charm of vintage pieces. They convey that unique charm of yesteryear as well as often having a story to tell all of their own. Some of our eclectic collection of vintage pieces stand alone in their own beauty, while others we have fun with re-purposing where our zest to re-imagine breathes new life into sometimes long forgotten objects. You can often find me on the country roads searching for auctions, flea markets or estate sales...anywhere I might find a treasure I just can't leave behind. The Dusty Magpie then holds a few 'events' a year at which we showcase the collection of vintage we have amassed in our log cabin and offer them for sale. We are thrilled to now also be able to offer Vintage staging/design for your special event or simply for your home. We have done Vintage stagine for front porches, photography backdrops, birthday and dinner parties, as well as recently in the wedding theme. Vintage lends its' style perfectly to a bridal shower, tea party, garden party...anywhere you want that unique and warm feeling of vintage. Give us a call, the ideas are endles! Thanks for taking the time to read about us. Myrla :) "Everything has its' beauty but not everyone sees it." ~ Confucius
