I own and operate a fishing and hunting guide service in Nestor Falls, Ontario. Nestor Falls is located on the eastern shores of Lake of the Woods, 1 hour north of International Falls, MN. It is 12 hours from Chicago and only 6 hours from Minneapolis. I started guiding at a young age of 15, started my own guide service in 2007 and now have 18 years of experience. My grandfather owned a resort in the area and was also a guide. My father guided for 30 years and also owned one of the local bait shops for 14 years. I operate a 19.5' boat with a 175hp Evinrude E-tec that easily handles 4 fishermen. High sides and a full windshield create a safe and dry ride in the worst conditions. Most fishing trips include a legendary shore lunch, bait, tackle and proper fishing equipment to handle all types of fish. Most of our summer fishing is done on Lake of the Woods in Sabaskong and Whitefish Bay area for walleye, crappie, northern pike, muskie, perch and lake trout. Also, there is crystal clear Crow Lake that offers lake trout, muskie, and smallmouth bass. In the winter we fish for crappie, perch, walleye, northern pike, and lake trout. We have many options for ice fishing; fish in a warm ice shack that you can drive your pick-up to, or enjoy a scenic snowmobile ride through the area and fish portage lakes. Full day, half day and evening trips are offered for fishing. I also offer hunts for black bear, moose, whitetail deer and the illusive timber wolf. Nestor Falls has some of the best accommodations around. From cooking your own meals, to all inclusive resorts, camp grounds and several hotels.
