History of the SFM Hospital Foundation Founded in 2001, the Foundation supports the building and equipment needs of the St Francis Memorial Hospital. It is governed by a 14 members Board of Directors. We do this by raising much needed funds that aren’t provided to our Hospital by the major source of funding, the Ministry of Health ( LHIN). The Foundation provides funds that support our equipment and facility costs and not for operational items like hospital staffing and operating costs for service programs. We hold two signature events a year, the Tree of Lights, held the first Friday evening in December and our Friends of St Francis Golf Tournament held on the Friday afternoon preceding Labour Day weekend. Our office is located on the main floor to the far left as you enter the main foyer of the hospital. Please feel free to come see us anytime! Toni Lavigne-Conway, Erin Gienow and Maxine Smaglinskie are in the foundation office and on hand to help with any donation questions you may have.
