SHIFT: Thunder Bay's Young Professionals Network

SHIFT is Thunder Bay's home for young-minded professionals who understand that moving their community forward means more than just doing business. It is the big picture, from social and environmental concerns to personal and professional development. Join us at our next event, together we can move forward! SHIFT is a not-for-profit organization that hosts monthly networking events that generally focus on at least one of our five extensions (Community, Social, Business, Environment, Personal & Professional Development). They are usually held in the evening on the first or second Thursday of the month and allow attendees from diverse backgrounds to gain new social and business contacts while engaging themselves in the community. There are no age restrictions, no professional prerequisites, just a desire to connect and foster change. We encourage 'SHIFTers' who work in various different areas to attend networking events and to become involved with our growing organization. This includes professionals working in the arts, the not-for-profit sector, the corporate world and more including students. Presently, there is no formal membership fee however, that may change in the future. In the meantime, tickets are priced differently depending on the event. These value-added networking events are open to all who are interested in attending and if you want to join SHIFT, joining us on Facebook or registering on our website are great ways to connect with other SHIFTers and learn about our upcoming events. Be sure to purchase your tickets in advance as our events are known to sell out quickly!
