Salty Dog SUP Yoga

SUPyoga girl on the Sunshine Coast of Beautiful BC Speaking from my own experience, my own truth, yoga on a paddle board has brought me so much joy. I feel light hearted and playful, my ego doesn't serve me, I become fully immersed in every micro movement, one with the gentle flow of the ocean. With every breath, I am reminded how lucky we are to live here breathing in clean air. As I set my intention for my practice, my mind inevitably gravitates to the environment. As I warm the cool crisp air with ujaii breath, a calming sensation washes over me, at last, my ocean sounding breath has found its home on the ocean. The fog lifts from my mind and clarity sets in I feel ALIVE! Yoga in a hot room with mirrors might make sense to some people, but imagine bringing your self into a modified eagle pose (garudasana) with ACTUAL eagle flying over head! It's inspirational! Tree pose on my paddle board is a challenge, my tree can't grow roots, I grow patience instead, my focal point is no longer on a wall or on a spot on the wall, but at the magnificent trees on shore. Fish pose with salmon swimming under your floating mat is something to behold, and how many people get to float their boat pose they have been practicing inside? Yoga becomes an adventure, full of wonder, fueling the body mind and spirit. Yoga is about connection to all things on this beautiful Earth so it only makes sense to get out and stimulate all of the senses, and absorb the healing energy of the ocean. 200 RYT SUP yoga certified Paddle Canada Basics Instructor
