About Salisbury Taekwondo Salisbury Taekwondo offers classes to all age groups starting at five years and up. The classes are organized so that the beginner will not feel out of place. He or she will be taken aside for the basic instructions before expecting to join with the current members. Anyone interested in beginning Taekwondo, may come in and view a class before joining. Taekwondo should not be viewed as a violent sport. Your safety always comes first in your instruction. You will learn to support and respect your fellow club members. You will set goals and work hard to achieve them. You will gain the feeling of belonging to an elite group found worldwide. Salisbury Taekwondo is affiliated with the Chung Won Institute of Taekwondo located in Moncton New Brunswick. The Instructor of Salisbury Taekwondo, Master Shelly Colpitts, has been training in this art for 28 years under the instruction of 9th Dan Black Belt, Grand Master Won Kap Chung and has over 23 years teaching experience. She began assisting in the instruction of classes at the Chung Won Institute at a green belt level and is currently 7th Dan Black Belt. She has been instructing in Salisbury for 23 years and continues to build the club stronger with each passing year.
