Rusty Nail Reclamation Design is a company which specializes in unique rustic interiors, with a focus on utilizing authentic architectural period pieces and local materials. Beautiful workmanship from the past surrounds us in Ontario, with some imagination and know-how these architectural pieces can be reclaimed for modern purposes. Some of the most visually interesting materials come from the past, found logs in our local rivers, barn board, ironwork from demolished housing, all have character and surprising elements which sometimes new materials and faux techniques can be lacking. With the proper reinterpretation these materials can create a look which is at once rustic and suggests the past, while creating something completely modern and unique. Another key element to our process is the use of specialized tradesmen and artisans who have the know-how to get the best from these particular materials. Form and Function are both of equal importance to our designs; to achieve this balance we design the furniture and architectural elements ourselves. Rusty Nail Reclamation Design is a multifaceted design company which does work in both commercial and private settings. We offer design services which include, but are not limited to, interior/exterior housing & businesses, Custom Furniture and architectural elements.
