Recreation Opportunities for Children (ROC) Eastman

Non-Profit Organization in Steinbach, MB · See Non-Profit Organization throughout Manitoba

ROC Eastman began in 2009 as one of three pilot projects of Manitoba Family Services and Labour’s Job Connections Program and, has since been serving the needs of children and youth living in the Eastman Region, who experience barriers to participation in recreation. Some funding is provided through the Department of Children and Youth Opportunities. Currently, services are provided to children and families referred through schools, family resource centres and other service organizations. We know that the needs far exceed our current capacity and that we need to grow. Growth through recreation is an important part of childhood. With your help, a child can build healthy self-esteem, a sense of accomplishment and an opportunity to learn some of life’s most valuable lessons through play! ROC relies on donations for a significant portion of our operational budget. All donations over $20 will be issued a tax deductible receipt.
