Recovery Day Red Deer

In September every year the Community of Red Deer celebrates and raises awareness about recovery from addiction. Recovery Day will be held at City Hall Park this year on September 9, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM This will be Red Deer's 4th annual event!! On Recovery Day, Canadians in recovery from addiction will join with friends and family to build awareness, challenge and eradicate societal stigma, and celebrate the role that recovery plays in improving the lives of individuals, families, and communities. We believe that recovery saves lives. We envision a world in which recovery from addiction is a common, celebrated reality - a world where individuals will not experience shame when seeking help. We are passionate about sharing our stories of recovery in the hope of inspiring others to join us on the rewarding yet diverse path to wholeness. Together we will demonstrate the power and proof of recovery from addiction. We hope that through advocacy we can make a change so those needing help can be supported through their entire recovery process with zero discrimination! _______________________________________________________________
