Purple KATZ Quilting

Business Services in Rimbey, AB · See Business Services throughout Alberta

I've always had a passion for fabrics and creating. I started hand sewing in elementary school then graduated to formal clothing and textiles classes in junior and senior high school. I have made many of my own clothes through the years and even made my own wedding dress When we were first married my husband's grandmother taught me to hand-quilt on a wooden frame that my husband built with 2x4's and c-clamps. I made several large crib blankets. What I remember most about her lessons was the COMMUNITY of quilting - the groups of quilters that got together for the love of quilting and the visit. I have recently started quilting again and am excited for the variety of quilting styles and textures and textiles being used. I just returned from the International Quilt Market in Houston and it filled my heart with joy and my head with the infinite possibilities of quilting. I am willing to teach beginner classes with small take-home projects in a one-on-one situation or with small groups. Let's get sewing!
