Oxbow Community Childcare Centre

The Oxbow Community Childcare Centre opened in June 2013 with 33 licensed and subsidized spaces. Children ages 18 months to 12 years are cared for in a safe and nurturing environment and are provided quality childcare and early learning experiences. It is the philosophy of the Oxbow Community Childcare Centre that children are encouraged to learn and grow by providing a foundation of developmentally appropriate experiences where all children can succeed in a safe and nurturing environment. We believe that quality childcare facilitates the healthy growth and development of the ‘whole’ child and that all children are different and unique. We strive to create an enriched environment that reflects the children’s interests and supports the child’s holistic development, one that first engages then stimulates social, emotional, physical, intellectual and spiritual development. We promote and encourage open and trusting relationships between families, educators, and children. We believe that parents/guardians and our educators are partners in the children’s care and early learning. Our program is flexible and a wide variety of stimulating, open ended activities and materials are provided.
