Who are the Ottawa Chiefs? The Ottawa Chiefs are a non-profit amateur baseball program designed to develop youth baseball players. In addition to development, the Ottawa Chiefs will help graduating players with trying to find college/university placement in the United States and Canada. What league do the Ottawa Chiefs play in? The Ottawa Chiefs U12 program plays baseball in a league called the A.B.E.O. in the province of Quebec. This league has teams from across Ontario and Quebec. The U14 and U16 has an application to play in the Quebec AA league called the LBICM. This league is considered to be the best in Quebec at that classification. The league season typically begins in the mid May and continues until mid August. Our U18 program does not play in any specific league at this time however will be playing other AAA teams from Ottawa, Montreal, Toronto and New York state during the months of May and June. Where do the Ottawa Chiefs travel in the summer months? All Ottawa Chiefs travel across Ontario, Quebec and the United States playing in highly recognized tournaments throughout the summer months. On average the Ottawa Chiefs U12 & U14 teams will compete in 3 tournaments over the course of the season and our U16 & U18 will play on average of 4-5 tournaments over the course of July and early August. The tournament schedule will be completed for all teams in November 2015. Where do the Ottawa Chiefs train and practice during the Winter months? The Ottawa Chiefs trains out of the Louis Riel Dome in Blackburn Hamlet on Fridays and Sundays. Our programs include specific training with pitching, batting, catching and fielding at all age groups.
