Oshawa Jr A Riverkings

This coming September 2015, the Oshawa Riverkings will kick off their first inaugural hockey season. Head Coach Kahlil Thomas, has played professional hockey for 12 great seasons. His goal is to share with other players, the opportunity and joy that he experienced. Playing hockey was an outlet, it was exciting, and it was a lifestyle. Playing hockey gave coach the chance to play with and be coached by some greats. Playing hockey also allowed him to bring joy to fans, patients at various hospitals and give hope back to kids with the dream to play and advance in Hockey. The Oshawa Riverkings, was named after coaches favourite team that he played for; The Mississippi (then Memphis) Riverkings. Coach was a recipient of several awards, but most importantly won two back to back championships with the team. In this experience, coach has brought with him the love and passion for the game, the experience of a lifetime, the mindset and drive to win, and the love to share it with others by guiding them to achieve their goals while advancing in the game of hockey. Coach has developed players in all ages and continues in his passion to showcase every player who is willing to work hard to achieve their goals. The Oshawa Riverkings, has an affiliate program with the Mississippi Riverkings professional hockey team out of the SPHL and has working relationships with Prep schools in the USA. The program Coach Kahlil Thomas, has put together is bound to help players achieve their goals, academically and athletically ( where hockey is concerned) with hardwork, integrity, respect and a great attitude. Oshawa Riverkings, will be playing games starting in September at the Oshawa Legends Centre. The team is recruiting players, 16-21 years , looking for families who would like to house a Riverking for the hockey season, volunteers and corporate sponsors looking to be apart of this amazing journey in hockey for players.
