About As a part of the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation the Okotoks Wado Kai Karate Club is a registered non-profit organization committed to the improvement of the health, fitness and martial arts understanding. The club services the town of Okotoks through classes, workshops, and tournaments. The club is a member of the Shintani Wado Kai Karate Federation. The club head instructor is Sensei Christian Boivin, Nidan, under the direction of Sensei Heather Fidyk. History The Okotoks Wado Kai Karate Clubwas started in 1994 by Sensei Chris Ashby, Godan, after relocating to Alberta from Ontario. The Club will remain The Okotoks Karate Club but beginning in September 2013. Instructors from the South Calgary Wado Kai Karate Club will instruct the club as Requested by Sensei Chris Ashby.
