OCBA - Operant Conditioning Behaviour Analysis

Do you dream of working with animals? Maybe you have to interact with animals for your current work or volunteer position and are looking for ways to create a more positive experience for the animal and you? Operant Conditioning Behaviour Analysis (OCBA): Level I, has been developed for the student with the desire to understand animal behaviour and use that knowledge while training. This course provides a one-on-one approach to help each student develop the necessary skills to train animals using positive reinforcement. Possessing these training skills is invaluable to the successful laboratory or research technician, veterinary assistant, pre-vet student, farm worker, boarding facility owner and many other professions or hobbies which require the ability to influence an animal's behaviour. This course offers a collaborative learning approach with students working through, lesson by lesson, at the same pace. As a student, you will be expected to apply what you are learning and document your weekly progress through the use of video, training records, and group discussion. OCBA Level I will help you become skilled at identifying wanted behaviours, goal setting, planning, training and understanding your animal.
