North Vancouver Aikikai

Aikido is a wonderful educational and spiritual martial art which promotes physical and mental self-discipline and offers profound wisdom and inspiration about life and human existence. The art has been described as “moving Zen.” It is a purely non-competitive and self-defensive art. It emphasizes the cultivation of inner strength, harmony, emotional and ethical maturation, and the mastery of peaceful and non-aggressive resolution of conflicts. In addition, training Aikido with other students offers inspiration, fun, satisfaction, and a sense of community lasting for years among the dojo friends. North Shore Aikido is a B.C. registered not for profit Society named North Vancouver Aikikai. NVA's mandate is the preservation of and offering instruction in Traditional Aikido. We are a member in good standing of both the United States and International Aikido Federations.
