Norman Houndsmen

Established in 2009; Houndsmen Colby Norman went on his first Mountain Lion hunt with an outfitter near Beaver Mines, AB. It only took a few short days of venturing around the foothills with a pack of experienced hunting dogs for him to then realize THIS was an industry to become a part of. After plenty of research and "study" it was then time to make the first major investment in the organization: a pair of hound pups to begin training from the "ground-up." After the pups had arrived (flown in from a reputable breeder from Oklahoma) Colby had almost immediately began training. "Ridge & Copper" never knew a day-off when snow was on the ground. Endless hours of dedication and patience has gone into these two brother pups and they are now part of a pack totaling 6 hounds with variety of experience and plenty of drive to get the job done. Over the most recent seasons Colby Norman and major supporters "Doug & Paige" have had the opportunity to work with a variety of different houndsmen and guides throughout the province running and training hounds, and expanding knowledge and experience among the operators of this organization. The equipment and head-count on hounds is an on-going expansion and the learning experiences never end for both the hounds and operators. Now licensed, Norman Houndsmen is excited to be offering Guided Mountain Lion Hunts for Alberta Residents in a variety of CMAS throughout the province. We are a professional guiding service whom are passionate about our work and focus on customer satisfaction when providing services to hunters hunting with us.
