New Westminster Family Place

Our Drop-In Program at our main site is open Monday through Saturday, welcoming parents and children into our playroom for art, songs and a healthy snack for the children. Playroom staff are Early Childhood Educators. A highlight at the end of the month is the children's birthday party for the children who have their birthday that month. Parents are invited to access information from the Resource Library and talk with our Family Support Worker in the parents' room. We have a large variety of quality, age-appropriate toys for you to borrow. When you become a member of New Westminster Family Place, you also become a member of the Toy Lending Library. Service providers from the community come in for our weekly Parent Education Programs providing information on a variety of topics. Twice a month donated used clothing is available free for families to take as needed at our Clothing Exchange. The Nobody's Perfect Parenting Program is run through Family Place. Childminding is provided on-site while you take the program. Monthly visits from the Public Health Nurse, Child Development Specialist and the Speech Therapist provide a casual, relaxed atmosphere for parents to ask questions.
