Nanaimo Conservatory of Music

As a non-profit community music school, we have brought the finest of music education to Vancouver Island for nearly three and a half decades. From our humble beginnings we have grown to an organization that offers private and group lessons, ensembles, Kindermusik, Suzuki Method, clinics, festivals, and more. Our award-winning Nanaimo Youth Choir regularly brings provincial titles home to the city and has become a symbol of our community's rich musical heritage. All of our instructors are highly qualified and dedicated to their work. Many perform with the Vancouver Island Symphony and the Victoria Symphony, and have worked here and abroad as chamber musicians, orchestra members, and soloists. The Conservatory prepares students for all levels of the Royal Conservatory of Music and Western Board exams. Students are encouraged to participate in the annual Upper Island Music Festival and to perform in Conservatory recitals. Whatever your skill level, the Conservatory has something to offer!
