Morden's Monument Memorials

My name is Morden Leeson and I have lived on Manitoulin Island all of my life . It is important to me to work closely with my customers to help them choice a headstone, plague, or engraving that suits their tastes and represents a historical marker of family for them and our island communities. At one time marble was used for gravestones, but this type of stone does not weather well. Granite is the popular choice, it comes in several colours, that can be polished smoothly all round or left rustic for a earthy look; or some of both. Lettering and engraving styles are only limited to your imagination. Placing a high quality memorial on a resting place , making sure everything is as expected , is very satisfying for myself and my wife, Bertha who works along with me. If you have a grave that needs earth to level it or may need new seeding, we can do that for you. Or an existing stone that has fallen over or leaning, we have the skills to safely put it back to it's original position. We also cleaning of older stones, marble or granite. If you are driving through Manitowaning you may pass by or Cenotaph ; we were thrilled to be commissioned by our local War Veterans and Assiginack Council to revitalize this Memorial. This has been our largest work thus far and a very rewarding experience. I am pleased to offer an on-site engraving service for the second year. This is done with computer precision without the need to move or disturb your families' memorial and risking damage. Many new products are available now including etching pictures right into granite, high quality picture frames, candle and light holders, vases and a variety of metals that can be engraved to your liking as an alternative or an enhancement to your granite stone/s.
