So, how do an Australian and a German get to be owners of a Backpacker's Lodge in Canada? Well, it was love at first sight: There was "this cute little place surrounded by flowers, with a wonderful deck, stunning view. And,right next to Kootenay National Park and not far from the Hot Springs." Plus, we like travelling, meeting people and were both looking for a new adventure... Seven months later we were proud owners of Misty River Lodge and set about converting it to match our idea of a travellers hostel. We hope you come and visit us. You might just fall in love with the place, too.
