McKinnon Health Solutions

McKinnon Health Solutions offers an effective, holistic approach to losing weight - and keeping it off. As a registered nurse practitioner, NSHC certified health coach, and BCRPA certified personal trainer, Kirstin McKinnon knows there’s no such thing as a “one-size-fits-all” diet. Kirstin’s skills, training, and multi-faceted approach to weight loss starts in the brain - followed by the plate. Kirstin’s individualized approach to healthy eating and wellness brings together research from different fields of study to create an effective weight loss program. Kirstin sees her clients at her office, and via Skype or FaceTime for those who live outside of her local area. If you live in Canada, you can see Kirstin! For many of us, eating more and exercising less is a sure way to pack on pounds, over time. When this behaviour becomes a habit, the brain “rewires” or “reprograms” itself to accept these habits. Those habits drive the way we eat, think, and feel about food. Losing weight and keeping it off means creating new, healthier habits. McKinnon Health Solutions will get you and your brain back on track with the healthier habits and individualized weight loss program you need for successful, long-term weight loss. There’s no single “perfect” diet. The right diet for you is one that is healthy, one you enjoy, and one you can follow the rest of your life! Kirstin McKinnon’s customized weight loss and wellness plans are tailored to your preferences and needs. Her individualized approach includes a plan for healthy eating, exercise, and “reprogramming" your brain to develop new healthy habits. Kirstin’s consultations will: • Provide you with research-based recommendations on weight loss • Help you stay on track with your weight loss plan • Design an individualized weight-loss and wellness plan with you and for you • Provide you with coaching, encouragement, and the motivation to keep going • Provide you with information, tips, and answers to your questions • Help you use the right strategies at the right time to help you stick to your plan • “Fine tune” your weight loss along the way • Provide weight check-ins according to your preferences PS: If you want her to, Kirstin will update your doctor or nurse practitioner on the progress you’re making. Kirstin wants you to know that "you are not weak!" Most of Kirstin’s clients have lived through the demoralizing cycle of gaining and losing weight. They believe they’re weak because they haven’t been able to lose weight or keep it off. You’re not weak! Genetics, the environment, and the way your brain is wired can affect your thinking, behaviour, and weight. Let Kirstin McKinnon guide you toward a healthier lifestyle and healthier weight. Losing weight can change your life. McKinnon Health Solutions will help you do that without gimmicks, products, or sales promotions.
